A short
history.
Four dates worth knowing. Same family. Same bar for the work, set higher with each generation.
- 1968 first Generation
Robert Palmer founds Palmer Electric.
Downtown Avon Park. One truck, one electrician, one phone book listing. The standard for the work was set the same week the doors opened.
- 1999 second Generation
Mark and Patty Palmer expand into HVAC.
The shop rebrands as Mark Palmer Electric & Air. Same family, same standard — now covering both sides of every Florida home.
- 2006 second Generation
Patty Palmer becomes sole owner and leads the company forward.
Eighteen years at the helm. The team that's still here today was hired, trained, and shaped under Patty's leadership.

Zach and Logan Foster take ownership.
New leadership, same standards. Both grew up in Highlands County, both came back to run the shop they grew up around.

Zach & Logan Foster
We're Zach and Logan Foster — Highlands County natives, new owners, and the third generation behind Mark Palmer Electric & Air.
The business began in the late 1960s when Logan's grandfather, Robert Palmer, founded Palmer Electric in downtown Avon Park. In 1999, her parents, Mark and Patty Palmer, expanded the family legacy into Mark Palmer Electric & Air. After Mark's passing in 2006, Patty carried the business forward for 18 years with grit, heart, and a deep commitment to doing things the right way.
In 2024, after time away building our careers, we felt called back home — not just to Highlands County, but to the business and legacy that shaped our family and our values.
When we're not working, we're raising our baby boy, Ford, wrangling our dogs Beau and Lil Bit, or spending time on the boat.
A/C SupervisorRaleigh Tyler
Raleigh, our A/C Supervisor, started over 30 years ago with Robert Palmer, founder of Palmer Electric. He began as a self-proclaimed “grunt” in the warehouse, later became a service tech, and stepped into a leadership role in 1999 when Mark and Patty Palmer launched Mark Palmer Electric and Air. He has grown with the company every step of the way.

If you've ever called the office, chances are you've talked to Cindy. She's been with us for over 23 years and has done it all—from answering phones to managing accounts receivable, and keeping everyone (especially Logan) in line.
Office ManagerNicole
Nicole is our powerhouse of positivity and organization. Since joining the crew in 2018, she has been an essential part of keeping operations running smoothly as office manager and head of electrical.
Scheduling & MarketingMia
Mia is the newest member of the team! She focuses on helping the office with scheduling, marketing, and with whatever is needed around the office.
We show up on time. We give you a straight answer on cost before we start. We do the job correctly, pull the right permits, and clean up when we leave. That's not a value proposition. That's just the job.
